Guests had mixed opinions regarding the pool at Rodeway Inn San Diego Near SDSU. Some appreciated the flexibility of using the pool after hours and described it as nice-looking. Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
'Days Inn by Wyndham Mission Valley-SDSU' enjoys largely positive feedback regarding its central and convenient location in San Diego. Guests appreciate its proximity to major attractions like SDSU, freeways, restaurants and entertainment venues. The neighborhood’s safety and ample parking further enhance its appeal. Despite minor noise issues from the freeway, most guests found the location suitable for work, family visits or leisure.
Breakfast offerings receive mixed reviews. While some guests enjoyed items like waffles, boiled eggs and yogurt and appreciated the complimentary nature, others found the selection limited and the quality inconsistent. A small, often crowded breakfast room also detracts from the dining experience.
The spacious rooms are often praised for their ample size and kitchen amenities, which are particularly handy for extended stays. Many guests found the rooms clean and well-maintained, though cleanliness issues, outdated furniture and occasional pest problems were reported. These inconsistencies sometimes impacted the overall guest experience.
Staff interactions are mixed with numerous guests finding them friendly, accommodating and helpful. Positive mentions included efficient front desk service and polite housekeeping. However, unprofessional behavior and inconsistent service, especially during night shifts, were noted by some visitors.
WiFi is another area with varied feedback; while some guests experienced reliable and fast internet, others faced weak and intermittent connections, making it difficult to maintain a stable link.
Families find the hotel appealing due to its family-friendly environment, spacious rooms and convenient location. However, noise from children and limited amenities for infants, like baby cots, are occasional concerns. The helpful and friendly staff, especially manager Karen, contribute positively to the family experience.
Beds receive mixed reviews with some guests finding them comfortable and conducive to a good night's rest, while others reported issues with bed quality and cleanliness, indicating a need for better consistency and upkeep.
For business travelers, the hotel's location and basic business amenities like small desks and internet access are advantageous. Nevertheless, inconsistent WiFi and limited dedicated business facilities may impact productivity. Variable experiences with staff professionalism and administrative procedures also present potential challenges.
Accessibility features cater to travelers with disabilities, offering adequate facilities and handicapped access. However, multiple issues with the elevator’s condition and accessibility, alongside concerns with accommodation requests, could prove problematic for those with mobility challenges.
In summary, 'Days Inn by Wyndham Mission Valley-SDSU' offers strong location benefits and spacious rooms well-suited for family stays and basic business needs. However, potential guests should be aware of ongoing issues with breakfast variety, room cleanliness, staff consistency, WiFi reliability and accessibility concerns.
