Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' category
Summarized by AI
The Douro Palace Hotel Resort & SPA offers a range of pool options that have garnered mixed reviews. Guests appreciate the stunning views and beautiful settings of both indoor and outdoor pools, which are described as very good and ideal for relaxing. The outdoor pool, in particular, is praised for being great and well-maintained. However, there are some concerns about the indoor pool's size and temperature with several guests noting that it feels quite small and could be warmer. The requirement to use swim caps at the indoor pool and additional fees associated with them have also been mentioned as inconveniences.
The indoor pool’s breathtaking west-facing glass wall is a notable highlight, offering spectacular views. The surroundings of the pools, including the spa and gardens, are reported to be wonderful and well-kept. Despite these positives, the pool area can get crowded and suffers from a shortage of sun loungers and umbrellas, detracting from the overall experience.
Cleanliness of the pools appears to vary with some guests finding the outdoor pool less well-maintained and in need of vacuuming, especially the grass floor around it. Indoor pool cleanliness is influenced by the weather, showing room for consistent improvements.
Overall, while the pool facilities at Douro Palace Hotel Resort & SPA boast beautiful views and a relaxing environment, there are aspects that could benefit from further enhancements to meet guest expectations fully.
