Excellent
Location
The location of Celtic Haven is truly fantastic with guests repeatedly praising the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. While the hotel is located just outside of Tenby, it is the perfect base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with breathtaking views waiting to be discovered. The location is ideal for families and dog owners with plenty of nearby paths and beaches to explore. The hotel itself is lovely with clean and spacious accommodations and great facilities like tennis courts and a basketball pitch. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous coastal escape, Celtic Haven's stunning location won't disappoint.

Dinner
While Celtic Haven offers a peaceful vacation spot, guests may be disappointed to find that the on-site restaurant and bar are not fully operational. Some have suggested that lack of staff is to blame, resulting in limited opening hours or even closing completely. On the plus side, those who did manage to dine on-site found the restaurant to be of good quality. Others have mentioned that the nearest town of Tenby has heavily booked restaurants and some have had to drive elsewhere to do their own food shopping. However, despite the occasional hiccups, guests have appreciated the help from staff when necessary, even if it's just to lend a bottle opener to keep the wine flowing.

Rooms
When it comes to accommodation, Celtic Haven does not disappoint. The self-contained cottages are quirky, quaint and spacious, perfect for families with children and pets. The cottages are beautifully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable self-catering stay. Some guests stayed in converted sheds, but found them to be wonderfully old and rustic. Most agreed that the properties were clean and well-maintained with modern, light and bright decor. Some guests had small complaints such as heating and pipe issues or a faulty DVD player and some did not appreciate the open plan nature of the cottages or the fact that some rooms might be smaller than anticipated. However, overwhelmingly, guests found the cottages to be lovely, cosy and comfortable with a nice warm feel to them. Some even described them as fantastic and highlighted the excellent facilities and equipment provided. The cottages and the surrounding area were also noted as stunningly beautiful.

Beds
Guests had varied experiences with the beds at Celtic Haven with some describing them as "very comfy" and "extremely comfortable." The bedding was also praised with guests noting lovely cushions and bed throws. However, not all beds were created equal with some guests finding bunk beds and a super king size bed less than comfortable. Additionally, some rooms lacked convenient electrical outlets near the beds. A few guests also reported issues with heating and creaky beds, while one unfortunate guest encountered dead bugs in their bed. Despite these issues, many guests found their beds nice and comfortable.

Cleanliness
Celtic Haven has received rave reviews for its cleanliness with guests describing the accommodation as beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean. The cottages are well-equipped and comfortable with lovely gardens and stunning views. The location is central and convenient, making it the perfect place to stay for exploring the surrounding area. Unfortunately, a few negative reviews mention issues like mould in the shower, bugs in the property and dirty furniture. However, these seem to be isolated incidents and overall guests were very impressed with the high level of cleanliness at Celtic Haven.

Staff
Celtic Haven is a resort with staff that consistently received high praise from guests. Their exceptional service and friendly dispositions created a warm and welcoming environment from start to finish with some guests even receiving calls from staff members after booking. The grounds were also lovely for taking walks and enjoying views. While there were some minor issues with staff not being familiar with local facilities or forgetting to provide requested items like stair gates or a cot, overall guests felt that the staff were very accommodating and responsive to any issues that arose. The spa and bar in particular were highlighted as excellent experiences with the help of the fabulous staff. However, a few guests did have negative interactions with the staff, although they were in the minority. Overall, location and parking along with the resort's great communication and friendly staff made for an enjoyable stay.

Wi-Fi
In today's world, having access to the internet is crucial, especially when you're on vacation. At Celtic Haven, you can connect to the WiFi for free, which was appreciated by families with kids who loved to stay connected. However, some guests reported that the signal was slow and the connection was poor, particularly in some of the cottages. One reviewer even stated that there was no WiFi or internet in their cottage, which they found unacceptable. Despite this, others noted that they had a good signal and didn't have any issues. Overall, while the WiFi may have been a minor point for some, it's worth checking beforehand whether the connection will meet your needs.

Pool
Celtic Haven has a nice pool that guests enjoyed with some describing it as fab and warm. However, pre-booking for half-hour slots was inconvenient for some and there were occasional closures due to short notice. The spa/pool area was described as tired-looking by some, but others loved the additional facilities such as tennis courts, a football pitch and a lovely play area. Some guests had issues accessing the pool due to booking constraints and there were no hot tub facilities available despite the pool being open. Overall, the pool was well-liked by guests who appreciated its perfect size and location in the lovely grounds.

Beach
Celtic Haven offers a serene and beautiful location that provides easy access to stunning countryside and lovely beaches. While some beaches require a short walk through a golf course or a 15-minute stroll, others are just 5-10 minutes away from the hotel. Guests can enjoy lovely walking along the coastal path and clear water at nearby beaches. Despite the waves not being very good, there are plenty of facilities on site and the location is fantastic with Tenby just a short drive away. However, the signal is not very good and the takeaway places recommended by the hotel did not deliver, causing some inconvenience for guests. Nonetheless, guests enjoyed the clean and comfortable cottages and appreciated the opportunity to walk into Tenby along the top of the cliffs and the beach.

Parking
Many guests appreciated the abundance of parking space at Celtic Haven, noting how easy it was to find and park close to their chalets. However, there were some complaints about parking being a bit of a distance from the cottages with only one bin store which added to the problem. Some guests also expressed disappointment that they were unable to park the car outside their property, despite there being adequate room for parking. Overall, while parking can be an issue, there are still convenient parking facilities available at Celtic Haven. It's important to note though that the restaurant and bar were closed during some stays, so guests should check on this when planning their trip.

Dog Friendly
Celtic Haven is a lovely, quiet and pet-friendly resort that offers a great location for dogs. Guests with furry friends were happy about the genuinely friendly staff that loved well-behaved dogs. The fenced garden and nearby golf course provided ample space for pups to exercise. The cottages were perfect for pets, although some guests wished for additional fencing around the front door. There were also conveniently placed dog poo bins for easy cleanup. Guests with larger dogs appreciated the option to upgrade to a bigger house, while others found the lovely, quaint cottages suitable for families with two adults, two children and two dogs. The only downside for some was the lack of takeaway options from the restaurant, which meant guests couldn't dine in with their furry companions. All in all, Celtic Haven was perfect for dog owners who wanted to take their doggy with them on holiday and enjoy lovely walks near the sea.
