Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Days Inn by Wyndham Scranton PA offers a conveniently located stay that appeals to travelers seeking easy access to local amenities. Situated near the highway, the hotel provides plentiful free parking and is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shopping options. The availability of an on-site tavern and a small indoor pool enhances the overall experience for guests, who appreciate the combination of practicality and convenience.
Guests find the complimentary breakfast simple, featuring a modest continental setup that meets basic expectations, although improvements in variety and quality are desired. For a more substantial morning meal, nearby dining alternatives might be worth exploring. The hotel rooms present a mixed experience, with some guests noting the comfort of the beds and spaciousness, while others point to inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance issues. Despite some outdated appearances due to ongoing renovations, the budget-friendly pricing remains attractive to many.
Cleanliness has been a challenge for the hotel, with reports of hygiene concerns and discrepancies compared to promotional images. The smell of cigarette smoke and cleanliness in common areas detract from the experience. However, the staff's exceptional hospitality stands out, with friendliness and attentiveness from the team, led by noted individuals such as manager Lita and desk clerk Jen. Their efforts contribute significantly to the hotel's inviting atmosphere.
The pool is a positive feature, often praised for its warmth and cleanliness, despite occasional maintenance issues. It offers a pleasant space for relaxation, particularly appreciated by both adults and teenagers. Overall, Days Inn by Wyndham Scranton PA strikes a balance between accessibility and affordability, with standout hospitality from its staff, although some areas could benefit from further improvements to enhance the guest experience.
