The Rose in Vale Country House Hotel boasts of having a lovely swimming pool, which for many guests was a big bonus. The outdoor heated pool was especially appreciated, allowing guests to take a dip even on cooler days. However, some guests found the swimming pool to be smaller than expected and had some issues with the depth with some areas being only a metre deep. Unfortunately, there were times when the pool was closed and some guests found it to be dirty. The pool area can also use a makeover with some safety equipment like the Perry buoy being grown over. Nonetheless, having an outdoor pool in the hotel was still great for many guests, even though the hotel could not accommodate them for an evening meal one night, despite the seemingly empty restaurant.
