Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Royal Hotel offers an exceptional location that has proven to be a significant draw for guests. Positioned directly across from the train station, it provides easy access to public transport and nearby attractions, making it ideal for visitors eager to explore Springwood's local dining, shopping options, and the beauty of the region. The hotel's central location within town, coupled with spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff, ensures a comfortable stay at a reasonable price, enhanced by the convenience of free parking.
The rooms are generally praised for their cleanliness and comfort, despite some criticisms relating to outdated features. Many guests find the accommodations to be well-maintained, roomy, and furnished with essential amenities, offering good value for money. Some noise from nearby areas such as the pub's beer garden is noted, but guests appreciate the easy access to the excellent food served at the hotel's bistro.
Cleanliness feedback is mixed, with many guests appreciating the consistently tidy rooms and prompt service delivery. The bathrooms are typically clean with satisfactory showers and baths. However, some persistent cleanliness issues, such as mould in showers and cockroach droppings, indicate areas for improvement. Friendly staff help accommodate early check-ins and maintain an overall welcoming atmosphere despite occasional lapses in cleaning standards.
The hotel staff are repeatedly commended for their friendliness, helpfulness, and readiness to assist guests, significantly enhancing the experience for visitors. Their positive attitude is a standout feature that complements the good amenities and prime location, ensuring guests feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their stay.
While the beds receive mixed reviews, many guests highlight their comfort, noting satisfactory mattress softness and an abundance of pillows. Nevertheless, some comments point to issues with bedding, such as missing mattress protectors and beds leading guests towards the middle. Despite these concerns, the overall welcoming demeanor of the staff contributes to a pleasant stay at the Royal Hotel.
