Red Roof Inn PLUS Brooklyn - Flatbush Ave offers an accessible and affordable option in the vibrant heart of Brooklyn, making it a convenient base for tourists and event-goers alike. Guests appreciate its proximity to attractions like the Barclays Center and Kings Theatre and its easy access to public transport. The neighborhood's lively, diverse atmosphere with a Caribbean vibe appeals to many, although perceptions of safety vary.
The hotel provides a basic breakfast consisting of snack-sized items, which offers convenience but may not meet all guests' expectations for a substantial morning meal. Rooms are generally praised for their spaciousness, comfort, and design, particularly the cozy beds that contribute to a restful stay. However, issues with housekeeping, including cleanliness and odors, especially related to smoke, have been noted as significant downsides.
Interactions with hotel staff are mixed. Some guests describe friendly, helpful service from specific staff members, while others report experiences with rudeness and slow response times. Concerns about customer service consistency and security practices during check-in have been raised.
Overall, while the hotel has strengths in location and room comfort, improvements in cleanliness, breakfast offerings, and customer service could greatly enhance the guest experience.
