Dimora Cortese is an old 19th-century mansion tastefully renovated to bring to light the beauty of the buildings of that era.
Is the property surrounded by other historic buildings?
Yes, it is situated in the historical centre of Castagnole delle Lanze, near the Tower built around 1880 by Count Paolo Ballada of Saint-Robert in the place that once housed an ancient feudal castle. It is also a short walk from the impressive Baroque Church of San Peter in Chains (San Pietro in Vincoli).
Are there any elements of particular historical importance at the building?
Painted rooms, the use of typical Piedmontese materials of the time, presence of an old furnace where the townspeople went to bake their bread.
