Ilala Lodge Hotel is undoubtedly in an amazing location - guests can easily walk to the waterfalls and the spray from the Falls can be seen from some rooms. The lush greenery surrounding the hotel is breathtaking and the wildlife can even be spotted outside the patio doors. The central location is great for access to restaurants, galleries and shops while still being quiet and peaceful. Guests have praised the facilities, comfortable beds and helpful staff. With a view of the waterfalls and "the smoke" visible from the terrace and restaurant, Ilala Lodge Hotel is the ideal place to stay during a visit to Victoria Falls.

Breakfast

Guests of the Ilala Lodge Hotel were thoroughly impressed with the breakfast offerings during their stay. The buffet and a la carte combined provided a wide range of choices including pastries, cereals, yogurt parfait, coffee, juices and milk. Cook-to-order options were also available with inventive menu options and familiar flavors. Many guests raved about the quality of the food with some calling it fabulous and excellent, while others found it simply delicious. The breakfast was so enormous that it kept guests going for most of the day and even became memorable for some. The atmosphere was also praised with breakfast served on the terrace and matching the amazing location. Lucky and Becky stand out for their exceptional service. The hotel provides great food and the service is excellent. The location is also perfect, close to the falls. Occasionally, poor communication between staff members results in poor service, but this is not a significant issue. Generally, the staff at Ilala Lodge Hotel is attentive, friendly and professional, making guests' stay fabulous.
