Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Come Inn Sesimbra benefits from a favorable location that provides easy access to local amenities and Lisbon, with a bus stop conveniently situated in front of the hotel. The vicinity's peaceful atmosphere adds to the charm, making it appealing for those seeking tranquility. However, noise from a nearby mini market during early morning deliveries might disrupt some guests. While parking and proximity to small shops are advantageous, guests without a car may find it challenging to explore dining options further afield. The late check-in option is a boon for bike tourers arriving later in the day.
The hotel has received criticism for its room conditions, with guests citing issues with cleanliness and maintenance. Many have found discrepancies between the website photos and actual room conditions, noting mold, pests, and outdated or broken furniture. Bathrooms, in particular, have been highlighted for their poor state, contributing to an overall perception of inadequate value for money.
Cleanliness across the hotel has been a major concern, with reports of unpleasant odors, dirt, and general neglect in maintenance. Both common areas and private spaces such as rooms and bathrooms have been found wanting in hygiene. Issues with dirty bedding, mold, and broken furniture further detract from the guest experience, with noise from nearby locations adding to the dissatisfaction.
The staff experience at Come Inn Sesimbra is mixed. While some staff members are described as friendly and accommodating, language barriers sometimes pose communication challenges. The receptionist’s ability to interact in English is a plus, offering some ease in communication for English-speaking guests. Instances of attentiveness, especially from the owner, are noted, although there are occasions when staff seem indifferent or unhelpful.
Bed comfort varies significantly, with some guests finding certain beds and pillows satisfactory. However, the overall quality of mattresses and bed frames is a recurring issue, with some guests expressing concerns about cleanliness and durability. Complaints about creaky, noisy beds and poor mattress quality are common, with some beds reportedly covered in fungus. The mixed reviews suggest potential guests should consider bed quality before making a reservation.
