Fairmont Orchid is a hidden gem located on the big isle, away from the hustle and bustle of the airport yet still accessible within a 30-minute drive. The hotel's location provides a perfect base for exploring the island. This beautiful property overlooks a spectacular protected beach and lagoon, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and turtle watching. The gardens and amazing landscaping surrounding the private beach create a serene atmosphere for a leisurely walk or a relaxing evening watching the sun set. The hotel's golf course adds to the perfect location, providing opportunities for a fun-filled day with friends and family. The beach and pool area are amazing and guests can enjoy privacy at the beautiful and quiet private beach. Overall, Fairmont Orchid is a beautiful location with great service, making it an ideal destination for a dream vacation.

Breakfast

One thing guests can't stop raving about at the Fairmont Orchid is the breakfast. With great options on the menu and sushis that were good, guests always look forward to starting their day with breakfast out doors every morning which is just spectacular. Multiple restaurants ensure that there's no shortage of choice when it comes to breakfast. However, some guests find the only sit-down breakfast place to be extremely pricey and some say that the buffet breakfast was very poor and outrageously expensive. Despite this, the majority of guests enjoyed a great breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. Many even had the opportunity to enjoy their breakfast while overlooking the clean sea and the numerous turtles swimming by. Overall, the breakfast at Fairmont Orchid impresses guests and is a great start to the day.

Dinner

Guests at Fairmont Orchid had various dining experiences during their stay. While some found the in-room dining menu to be limited and expensive, others had an exceptional culinary experience at Browns beach house, which they deemed to be one of the best meals ever. Both the Binchotan grill and Browns beach house received praise for their delicious food, although some guests did not care for the former. The hotel's restaurants were generally excellent with Browns beach house receiving special mention as an ideal location for a special night, such as a honeymoon. However, a small number of guests found the food to be disappointing and overpriced, costing one group $415 for an unsatisfactory meal.
