Best Hotel garners considerable acclaim for its exceptional location, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking both convenience and affordability. It is strategically situated in the city center with close proximity to major transportation hubs such as the Songshan Train and MRT stations, simplifying city exploration. The hotel's immediate vicinity to the vibrant Raohe Street Night Market is a standout feature, providing guests with an array of local food and shopping experiences just a short walk away. Surrounded by shops and amenities, the convenience factor is further enhanced. Despite the hotel being somewhat older, its high cost-performance ratio and excellent service from friendly staff make it a recommended option for budget-conscious travelers.
The rooms at Best Hotel are generally well-maintained with clean beds, linens, bathrooms and overall facilities. Although the decor is simple and somewhat outdated, the cleanliness often surpasses guests' expectations. There are, however, some concerns such as uncomfortable mattresses, lack of windows, occasional odors and older equipment, which can be minor drawbacks. Nonetheless, the hotel's emphasis on cleanliness remains a positive highlight.
When it comes to cleanliness, Best Hotel presents a mix of experiences. Many guests commend the hotel for its clean environment, especially noting the cleanliness of bathrooms and rooms. Some guests have described the level of cleanliness as very good, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there are instances where cleanliness falls short with reports of hairs left by previous guests, inadequate floor cleaning, mold spots, cigarette odors and even cockroaches in the refrigerator. This inconsistency points to room for improvement in maintaining cleanliness standards.
The staff at Best Hotel consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and efficiency. Guests frequently highlight the helpfulness and positive attitudes of the front desk and cleaning staff, which significantly contribute to a pleasant stay. While there have been minor mentions of lengthy check-in processes and occasional poor attitudes, these appear to be exceptions rather than the norm. The staff’s dedication is evident through the peace, cleanliness and swift room-switching services provided.
Opinions on bed comfort at Best Hotel vary. While some guests find the beds comfortable and supportive, others note that the beds are quite hard, making for an uncomfortable sleep. Additionally, pillows are often described as too flat or thin and some guests find the mattress size insufficient for two people. Though some visitors are satisfied with the comfort, these concerns are worth considering for potential guests.
Overall, Best Hotel offers excellent value for its prime location with friendly and helpful staff playing a significant role in enhancing guest experiences. Despite some areas needing improvement, particularly in room cleanliness and bed comfort, the hotel remains a highly recommended option for those looking to enjoy the city conveniently and affordably.

Hotel Lee-Chan offers a blend of positive and mixed reviews, particularly praised for its exceptional location and amiable staff. The hotel boasts a prime location near major transport hubs such as Songshan Railway Station and Songshan MRT Station, which makes navigation around Taipei convenient for travelers. Its proximity to the bustling Raohe Night Market offers guests easy access to a variety of local foods and shopping options, enhancing the convenience for food enthusiasts. Additionally, a range of entertainment and dining options are within walking distance, contributing to the overall appeal.
In terms of room quality, Hotel Lee-Chan provides spacious rooms at budget-friendly prices. The accommodations are well-equipped with essentials like beds, chairs and mini refrigerators with larger rooms available for those needing more space. While the hotel is economical, it presents signs of wear and could benefit from updates, as some rooms have been noted for residual smoke smells and occasional cleanliness issues. Cleanliness levels have been inconsistent with some rooms praised for their tidiness and others criticized for leftover items and pest problems.
The staff at Hotel Lee-Chan consistently receive high marks for their friendly and helpful demeanor. From the receptionists to the housekeeping staff, their service is often described as polite, attentive and efficient, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, there are isolated reports of unhelpful staff that indicate occasional inconsistencies.
The bedding at the hotel ranges from spacious and comfortable to overly firm and occasionally lacking cleanliness. While some guests enjoy the firmness and comfort of the mattresses, there are mentions of dirty pillows and itchy blankets that detract from the overall experience.
Accessibility is another strong point for Hotel Lee-Chan with positive remarks about its close vicinity to essential amenities, convenience stores and accessible public areas on weekends. Nonetheless, the three steps at the main entrance without a suitable ramp could pose difficulty for those with mobility issues, despite the presence of wooden boards.
In conclusion, Hotel Lee-Chan shines for its strategic location and friendly staff, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. However, potential guests should be prepared for some variability in room cleanliness and comfort.
