The Ship Inn is situated in a lovely scenic location by the river Ouse with its own carpark and jetty. Guests can even take a river bus at weekends to York Centre! The rooms boast excellent views across the river, ideal for sitting and watching the boats go by. Although tucked away, the location is only a short distance from York city centre with nice walks including an ex-railway cycle track. The location is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway, but also conveniently close to the city. The staff are great and the pub serves good food, making this hotel a popular choice for those seeking a first-class location, staff and hospitality. Overall, The Ship Inn is a great option for anyone looking for a lovely location at a good price and comfortable bed.

Overall, the rooms are very comfy and clean with good amenities and usable space. Guests can enjoy a great view of the river from some rooms. While some bathrooms could use an upgrade, others were lovely and very new. The rooms were generally quiet and cool, ensuring a good night's sleep.
