The hotel offers a beautiful ocean view from the pool area and some of the rooms. While it is isolated and the beach area is tidal, it is calm and away from the noise of the city. Guests can access the beach from the hotel. However, if you want to spend your time in Stone Town, it may be expensive as taxi rides are necessary. While there are not many restaurant options nearby, there are small local shops. Some guests had issues with noise from the street-facing rooms next to the elevators.
