For those who want to explore the island, Luna Rossa's location is strategic with easy access to both Fira and Oia, either by foot or rental car/motorbike. Fred, the owner, is very friendly and offers great tips to guests on where to go and what to see. Some reviews mention that the hotel is a little bit far from the central tourist points and requires a car to get around, but there is a bus stop right next to the hotel. Overall, Luna Rossa provides an excellent location and service for a reasonable price and is one of the best hotels on the island in our opinion.
