HOTEL CARAVIA is highly regarded for its picturesque and strategically advantageous location, offering guests a tranquil base for exploring both coastal and mountainous regions. Its proximity to significant landmarks, beaches and scenic routes like the Camino De Santiago, coupled with easy access to the highway, makes it an ideal starting point for adventurers wanting to explore Asturias, Cantabria and eastern Galicia. Guests appreciate the serene environment and central positioning which simplifies visits to nearby tourist spots.
Breakfast at the hotel receives frequent praise for its quality and abundance, featuring a good variety of ham, cheese, jam, bread, homemade muffins, coffee and juice. The inclusion of homemade treats and the overall satisfactory service contribute to a positive morning experience, setting a strong start to the day for many guests.
The hotel's restaurant is a standout feature according to guest reviews, offering quality dishes made from fresh raw materials. With a varied menu and special meal deals, dining at the hotel is noted as a delightful experience despite the slightly higher prices. The friendly and efficient restaurant staff add to the overall dining experience, making it highly recommended by many.
Rooms at Hotel Caravia are remarked upon for their cleanliness and cozy atmosphere, though they are often described as small. Some rooms come with terraces or balconies, enhancing the overall stay. Despite the minor inconveniences like a lack of an elevator and occasional noise issues, the rooms provide essential comforts. Bathrooms are small but clean and while some guests experience issues like a damp smell, these do not significantly detract from the overall positive impressions of the accommodations.
The hotel's cleanliness is consistently highlighted with guests noting spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities throughout. Cleanliness evidently compensates for the smaller room sizes and occasional lack of modern amenities.
The staff's exceptional service is a recurring theme in guest reviews with numerous mentions of their friendliness, attentiveness and willingness to assist whenever needed. Noteworthy mentions of specific staff members, like Carlos the owner, underscore the personal touch and professionalism that contribute significantly to the hotel's inviting atmosphere.
Guests generally find the beds comfortable, although there are occasional reports of uncomfortable mattresses. Soft sheets and clean rooms add to the comfort, suggesting that the majority of guests enjoy a restful stay.
In summary, HOTEL CARAVIA offers a serene and picturesque setting ideal for explorers of the region, backed by high standards of cleanliness, exceptional staff service and a satisfying dining experience. While there are areas for improvement such as room size and soundproofing, the overall guest experience remains positive, making it a commendable choice for travelers.
