Stockholm Inn Hotel receives commendation primarily for its central location, making it an ideal choice for travelers keen on exploring the vibrant city of Stockholm. Nestled near an array of restaurants, cafes and shopping areas, the hotel offers convenience being within walking distance of the main train station and metro stops. Despite its central location, the hotel maintains a serene and quiet ambiance, which, along with the attentive and helpful staff, enhances the overall guest experience. The hotel's affordability coupled with its strategic placement provides significant value for money.
The cleanliness of the hotel stands out significantly with guests frequently highlighting the immaculate conditions of the rooms and bathrooms. The regular changing of bedding and effective ventilation, even in windowless rooms, contribute to a fresh environment. However, some minor issues, such as stained carpets in hallways and occasional mold in bathrooms, were noted but did not overshadow the generally positive feedback regarding cleanliness.
On the downside, the rooms at Stockholm Inn Hotel are described as exceptionally small and without natural light, often compared to ship cabins or jail cells. Some guests found the beds narrow and uncomfortable with comments on worn-out or saggy mattresses that affected sleep quality. The bathrooms, while clean, also faced criticism for being narrowly designed. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel’s central location and budget-friendly pricing make up for the basic and utilitarian accommodations.
The breakfast service, however, leaves much to be desired. Guests often found the offerings limited to pre-packaged sandwiches, apples and cookies, which lacked freshness and variety. The lack of facilities to cater to dietary requirements and the absence of a proper dining area were also highlighted as shortcomings. While some found the basic nature of the breakfast acceptable for a quick bite, the overall sentiment was of disappointment.
Stockholm Inn Hotel scores well for its friendly and helpful staff, who are often praised for their warm and accommodating demeanor, particularly the morning staff. However, experiences with staff were occasionally inconsistent with a few guests finding receptionists indifferent or unengaged.
The free Wi-Fi generally meets guests' expectations with many describing it as fast and reliable. Although there were occasional reports of connectivity issues and inadequate assistance from staff in resolving these problems, the majority of reviews reflect a satisfactory experience regarding internet access.
In summary, Stockholm Inn Hotel offers a strategic and clean place to stay in the heart of Stockholm with friendly staff and budget-friendly rates. However, guests should anticipate basic room amenities, a minimalistic breakfast and potential bed comfort issues.

Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hostel Dalagatan in Stockholm garners mostly positive reviews, especially for its prime, central location. Guests appreciate the convenience of being close to key transportation hubs like the Central Station and Odenplan station, as well as city attractions, parks, restaurants and supermarkets. The hostel is also near Gamla Stan, the old town, allowing for easy sightseeing. Its balance between affordability and convenience makes it an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers.
The rooms are generally clean with comfortable beds and private bathrooms in some units adding to the convenience. Fresh sheets are provided and the hostel maintains a good standard of cleanliness in communal areas such as the kitchen and common rooms. The Wi-Fi is reliable, enhancing the overall guest experience and the automated check-in system with personal codes ensures ease of access.
However, there are some drawbacks. Many rooms are small and windowless, leading to issues with ventilation and a claustrophobic feeling. Some guests have reported unpleasant smells and inadequate maintenance, particularly in basement rooms. The hostel does receive some criticism for inconsistent cleanliness in shared bathrooms and kitchens with occasional complaints about mold and dirt.
The staff is often described as friendly, professional and helpful during their limited hours of availability. However, the reception closes after 4 pm, leaving some guests feeling unsupported. There have been occasional reports of unfriendliness and discriminatory behavior from staff members, although these seem to be less frequent.
Overall, Hostel Dalagatan is praised for its excellent location, good cleanliness and efficient check-in system. While there are some concerns regarding room size, ventilation and limited staff availability, it remains a solid option for travelers seeking a convenient and budget-friendly stay in Stockholm.
