Tiki Hôtel - Hôtel d'application du Lycée de Tahiti enjoys a prime and tranquil location close to the airport, providing a peaceful setting with picturesque ocean views. This makes it an excellent choice for travelers with late arrivals or early departures. Despite its slightly remote location on the outskirts of Papeete, the hotel offers convenient access to local points of interest and public transportation.
Guests frequently praise the staff for their friendliness, professionalism and exceptional service, making them feel welcomed and well-assistanced. The support from the onsite students also adds a touch of genuine hospitality and warmth to the guest experience.
Rooms at the hotel are generally well-received for their cleanliness, comfort and spaciousness with many featuring terraces or balconies that enhance the stay with pleasant sea views. The comfortable beds are a highlight, often mentioned for their quality and ensuring restful sleep. While some rooms lack air conditioning and a few maintenance issues have been noted, overall, the rooms provide a comfortable and pleasant environment.
Breakfast at Tiki Hôtel is often described as plentiful and excellent with options like gourmet continental breakfasts and American breakfasts receiving special praise. However, the timing of breakfast service may not always suit early travelers and there are occasional criticisms of service responsiveness and variability during weekends.
In terms of dining, the hotel's dinner options faced significant criticism due to limited availability and closures on certain nights and weekends, which was inconvenient for guests, especially those without access to a car. This necessitated finding alternate dining arrangements in an area with limited nearby options.
The hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness, though a few guests reported specific issues that suggest some variability in housekeeping. Nonetheless, the majority of feedback underscores the hotel's commitment to cleanliness.
While the free wifi is noted as a positive aspect, its signal strength and coverage have room for improvement, particularly in reaching all rooms reliably. Secure parking is another strong point with free, gated parking available for guests.
Overall, Tiki Hôtel provides excellent value for money, offering a three-star lodging experience that combines affordability with quality service, comfortable accommodations and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite minor drawbacks, the majority of guests express satisfaction with their stay, appreciating the warm hospitality and convenient location.
