Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of Brooklyn, surrounded by diverse dining, shopping and entertainment options. Its proximity to several subway stations allows easy access to Manhattan and iconic attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge. Located near the Barclays Center, it is ideal for event-goers and the neighborhood's mixture of casual and upscale dining options, along with seamless subway connections to key areas, enhances its appeal. The hotel serves as a perfect base for exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan, offering convenience, accessibility and a safe, welcoming environment for both leisure and business travelers.
The breakfast experience at the hotel is mixed. While some guests enjoyed the à la carte offerings and friendly service, others found the selection limited and the quality inconsistent. The absence of a buffet and added costs were disappointing for many. Similarly, the dining experience received varied reviews; while the on-site restaurant was praised for its good food and prices, inconsistencies in service quality and high prices at the Mexican restaurant were noted.
Guests generally appreciated the comfortable and clean rooms, often mentioning modern amenities and pleasant views. However, the rooms were sometimes noted to be small with limited space for luggage, occasionally lacking thorough cleanliness and needing updates in decor and furniture. Despite these issues, the hotel's central location and the overall comfort of the rooms were positively received.
Cleanliness across the hotel was inconsistent with many guests appreciating the neat rooms and courteous cleaning staff, but others reporting dirty carpets, neglected bathrooms and occasional unpleasant odors. The staff was often praised for being helpful and professional, especially the front desk, but there were notable service lapses and incidents of unprofessional behavior.
The free WiFi presented a mixed experience with some guests enjoying good connectivity and others finding it slow and unreliable. The gym facilities, including a sauna and swimming pool, were generally appreciated, though feedback highlighted occasional overcrowding and the need for equipment maintenance. The pool was a pleasant feature for many, despite noted issues with cleanliness and accessibility.
Parking options included valet and self-parking, which were convenient but often expensive and occasionally cumbersome. The hotel's vibrant location near numerous nightlife spots offered guests an exciting urban experience, though it sometimes resulted in noise disturbances. Beds were mostly praised for comfort, though some guests mentioned inconsistency in mattress quality.
Overall, Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown offers a convenient and comfortable stay with excellent access to both Brooklyn and Manhattan. Room size and cleanliness, service inconsistency and some amenities could benefit from improvements, but the prime location and generally positive guest experiences make it a highly recommended choice for travelers.

Four Points by Sheraton Flushing offers a compelling choice for travelers, balancing convenience and comfort in the heart of Chinatown, Queens. This hotel's advantageous location near Citi Field, LaGuardia Airport and public transportation makes it an excellent base for exploring New York City and its multiple attractions. Food enthusiasts will find many nearby dining options, particularly Chinese cuisine, enhancing their stay. Despite some initial concerns about the neighborhood's safety and limited multilingual support at the front desk, guests appreciate its accessibility, modern facilities and the quiet environment conducive to both business and solo travelers.
Guests laud the cleanliness of the hotel with rooms and common areas frequently mentioned for their impeccable condition. Modern, sleek decor and comfortable, cozy rooms enhance the overall ambiance. Although some rooms are noted to be on the smaller side, the spaciousness is still regarded positively, especially compared to typical New York City accommodations. The comfort of the beds, despite minor issues regarding size, is a highlight, consistently noted for providing a restful experience.
The staff's service stands out significantly, praised for their friendliness, helpful attitudes and professionalism. Specific staff members receive commendations for their exceptional service and housekeepers and shuttle drivers contribute positively to guests' experiences. While there's mention of occasional lapses in friendliness, these are exceptions rather than the norm.
For amenities, the gym and fitness facilities are well-maintained and equipped, meeting most guests' needs despite occasional closures. The parking service, although convenient and safe, receives mixed reviews due to its cost and occasional logistical issues.
Families find this hotel accommodating with a child-friendly environment and family room options, adding to their overall comfort. The pool is an added perk, providing a pleasant diversion. Business travelers also appreciate the hotel for its excellent professional facilities and conducive environment for short stays or one-night business trips.
However, breakfast falls short of expectations with complaints about the limited variety, monotony and quality. While morning tea and complimentary coffee in the lobby are small consolations, the lack of in-room microwaves and refrigerators further limits dining convenience. Dinner fares better with frequent praise for the ambiance and service, though the menu variety and food quality could benefit from improvements.
