The resort boasts an exceptional location, directly across from the patrolled Alexandra Headlands beach, offering stunning ocean views and easy accessibility to local attractions, cafes, restaurants and shops. This strategic position between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba makes it an ideal base for exploring the Sunshine Coast.
Guests frequently commend the resort's clean and comfortable rooms, many of which have been recently renovated. The well-equipped apartments, including 2-bedroom units with ocean views, provide all necessary amenities, contributing to a fabulous and comfortable stay. Despite minor criticisms regarding room size and occasional air conditioning issues, the overall impression is one of well-maintained and charming accommodations.
The resort's cleanliness is a standout attribute with numerous guests describing the units as spotless and well-maintained. While some minor lapses were noted, the consensus remains positive, appreciating the spacious and functional lay-out of the rooms. The only significant concerns are the lack of privacy on balconies and the need for some decor updates.
The friendly and helpful staff significantly enhance the guest experience. Reviews consistently highlight the team's welcoming nature and readiness to assist with any needs or questions, making the resort feel like a home away from home. Specific mentions of staff members, including Georgia and managers Janelle and Steve, underscore the exceptional customer service provided.
The pool area is another highlight, particularly enjoyed by families. The heated pool is praised for its well-maintained condition and inviting nature, making it a pleasant spot even in winter. Although some guests found the pool occasionally too cold or unsuitable for very young children, its well-designed features and crystal clear water received overall positive feedback.
Families find the resort especially accommodating, appreciating the clean, spacious accommodations and proximity to the patrolled beach, ensuring safety and convenience for children. The child-friendly pool design and staff flexibility with early check-ins further enhance its appeal for families.
Parking at the resort is well-facilitated with secure options including an undercover lockup garage and easy-to-access underground carpark. Guests appreciate the roomy and convenient parking facilities, although taller vehicles may face height clearance issues in the garage.
Lastly, the beds at the resort receive mixed feedback with many guests finding them comfortable and contributing positively to their stay. However, a few noted discomfort with softness or hardness, suggesting that preferences may vary.
Overall, Grand Palais Beachside Resort offers an exceptional beachside experience with its fantastic location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and excellent amenities, making it a highly recommended destination for families, couples and solo travelers alike.
