Hotel De Wualai is situated in an advantageous location, balancing easy accessibility with tranquility. The hotel’s proximity to Chiang Mai's old town, Saturday Wualai Walking Street Market and essential local attractions makes it a convenient base for exploring the area, while its setting in a calm residential neighborhood ensures peaceful nights.
Guests have mixed reviews about the breakfast offerings; while some find it tasty and satisfactory with items like bacon, eggs and fresh fruits, others point out the lack of variety and repetitive menu. Nonetheless, the outdoor breakfast setting and friendly service are appreciated.
The rooms at Hotel De Wualai are well-received for their cleanliness, spaciousness and modern amenities including microwaves, kettles, large TVs and sometimes luxurious touches like whirlpool bathtubs. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is exemplary with meticulous housekeeping frequently noted. The pool area is especially highlighted for its pristine condition and inviting atmosphere, offering both indoor and outdoor options. The gym, while small and somewhat limited in equipment, is well-maintained and serves the basic fitness needs of guests.
The hotel staff earns high marks for their friendliness, helpfulness and excellent service. Their attentiveness and personal efforts to enhance the guest experience—such as arranging tours and managing transportation—stand out.
