The 'Garner Hotel Chesterfield North by IHG' is highly regarded for its strategic location, providing convenient access to the M1 motorway, making it a suitable stopover for travelers, business executives and those attending regional events or visiting family. The proximity to various dining establishments and local facilities, such as McDonald's and Harvester, adds to its practicality. While slightly removed from Chesterfield town center, the peaceful setting and ample parking are appreciated by many guests.
The breakfast service receives extensive praise for its ample selection, value for money and availability of both continental and cooked options. Despite some mixed reviews regarding its cost and occasional quality issues, most guests find the breakfast fulfilling and well-presented. Dinner options, although limited and deemed pricey by some, are offset by the presence of satisfactory nearby alternatives, bolstered by the friendly, accommodating staff.
Guest reviews about the rooms at the hotel are varied. Positives include the spaciousness, cleanliness and comfortable bedding, providing a solid value for money. The practical amenities, excellent management and budget-friendly pricing contribute positively to short stays. However, some rooms appear dated with issues like old fixtures, warm temperatures and noise disturbances. Cleanliness is generally good with only sporadic complaints about missed spots or maintenance issues.
The hotel staff receive consistent acclaim for their friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency, significantly enhancing guests' experiences through their attentive service and welcoming demeanor. The free WiFi is appreciated for its good speeds and ease of use, though some guests report connectivity issues in certain areas of the hotel.
The comfort of the beds elicits mixed feedback with many guests praising the beds as very comfortable and some finding them too firm or in need of updated mattresses. Cleanliness and spaciousness of the bedding are often noted positively.
In terms of accessibility, the hotel offers spacious, well-equipped rooms and good facilities for disabled guests. However, improvements are needed in signage, disabled parking and lift reliability to further enhance accessibility. Overall, 'Garner Hotel Chesterfield North by IHG' provides a practical, convenient and generally pleasant stay with strong service and location as key highlights, despite some areas needing attention.
