Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Checkers Resort is highly praised for its strategic and convenient location, situated close to Sydney's northern beaches and offering easy access via public transport for events, work or family gatherings. The resort provides a peaceful retreat that feels detached from city life, complemented by amenities such as a lovely pool, tennis courts, a kids' play area and a well-regarded restaurant serving excellent meals.
The on-site restaurant garners high praise for its delicious, well-presented dishes available throughout the day with specific favorites like lamb with balsamic and garlic bread with cutlets. Room service is also noted for its prompt and tasty deliveries, often considered superior to nearby dining options.
Rooms at the resort are spacious, clean and equipped with modern amenities, often mentioned for their comfort, particularly the beds and blackout curtains. Staff members are consistently highlighted for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to smooth check-in processes and enhancing the overall guest experience.
While cleanliness generally receives positive feedback with most guests finding their accommodations well-maintained, there are occasional comments about minor housekeeping inconsistencies and the need for some room updates. Similarly, bed comfort varies with many guests finding them comfortable, though some have noted preferences for firmer or softer options.
Despite minor setbacks, Checkers Resort is widely regarded as a reliable choice, offering excellent value for money, friendly service and a comfortable stay in an idyllic location.
