The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Beckley, WV, is a popular choice for travelers, largely due to its strategic location. Positioned conveniently near major highways, it offers easy access to local attractions like The New River Gorge National Park. The immediate vicinity includes dining options, providing added convenience for guests. The hotel is particularly family-friendly, with a welcoming pet policy and a large indoor pool that delights children.
Breakfast at the hotel is often mentioned as a highlight, featuring a wide variety of options from hot to cold items. Many guests find it to be one of the best continental breakfasts they have experienced, especially noting the quality of the coffee and the attentive staff who ensure a pleasant dining atmosphere.
The rooms are generally spacious, clean, and comfortable, though some guests note that the decor feels dated and minor maintenance issues may arise. Nonetheless, the friendly and professional staff make a significant positive impact on guests’ stays, especially with their helpfulness and local knowledge.
While the hotel provides a clean environment, some guests have noted areas needing improved maintenance and cleanliness, especially in certain rooms and amenities. The pool area receives mixed reviews; while it is a popular attraction due to its indoor and outdoor combination, it sometimes faces maintenance and cleanliness issues.
For families, the hotel's amenities and convenient location make it a preferred choice, and the pet-friendly policy adds to its appeal for those traveling with animals. The overall comfort of the beds is praised, though opinions vary, with some suggesting upgrades in certain rooms.
While the WiFi service is adequate, there is room for improvement, particularly given the intermittent connectivity issues experienced by some guests. The hotel could also enhance its accessibility features for guests with disabilities to improve inclusivity and comfort.
In summary, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Beckley is well-regarded for its prime location, family-friendly amenities, and outstanding hospitality. While there are areas that could benefit from updates, the overall experience is positive, making it a solid choice for travelers passing through the area.
