Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Parkers Arms - The home of Cattlemans Steakhouse offers a commendable experience for travelers, particularly emphasized through its prime location and excellent dining. Situated conveniently in Devon, it provides easy access to local attractions, shops, and motorways, making it an ideal base for exploration or a comfortable stopover. Guests frequently appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff that contribute to the charm of both the hotel and its historic pub.
Dining at the on-site Cattlemans Steakhouse is a highlight, with guests consistently praising the outstanding, delicious meals, especially the steaks. The restaurant is described as creating a superb and reasonably priced dining experience, enhanced by attentive and friendly service. This contributes to great value for money and is often a strong motivator for guests wishing to return.
The rooms at The Parkers Arms are noted for their cleanliness and spaciousness, with many appreciating comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities like tea and coffee facilities. Although some decor may seem dated and certain rooms are not ensuite, accommodations are considered basic but functional, offering good value for those seeking simple, clean lodgings. Noise levels from the main road and pub settle by late evening, while ample parking adds further convenience.
Staff at The Parkers Arms receive high marks for their warmth and helpfulness, ensuring a seamless and pleasant guest experience. However, areas for improvement include dated furnishings and the lack of a breakfast offering, which some guests find disappointing. Despite mixed reviews on bed comfort, the overall affordability and quality service make The Parkers Arms a viable choice for those seeking both relaxation and excellent dining in a charming setting.
