The Van Der Valk Sélys Liège Hotel & Spa is a four-star establishment that largely lives up to its rating with commendable facilities and services. Guests highlight that the hotel offers facilities up to the expected four-star standard with the experience consistently feeling like that of a superior accommodation. The hotel draws attention for being one of the best in the area, noted for its charming, older building that adds a layer of character, despite not being the cheapest option.
Clean facilities, attentive staff and a high-quality service standard are recurring positive mentions. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness and comfort is evident, contributing to a pleasant stay for most guests. The room service and WiFi receive praise and the overall venue maintains a good price-to-performance ratio.
However, not all aspects meet four-star expectations. Some guests point out that the restaurant and lounge furniture maintenance at the spa pool area could improve. There's feedback regarding the checkout policy on room towels for the spa and an extra payment requirement to use the sauna or pool after checkout, which shouldn't be necessary for a hotel of this standing. Additional services such as valet parking are also requested to match the expected four-star level.
Despite some shortcomings like stains in the rooms and minor service issues, the Van Der Valk Sélys Liège Hotel & Spa is generally regarded as a true four-star hotel, offering a solid and comfortable stay with the amenities one would expect from such a rating.

The Radisson Hotel Liege City Centre offers a mixed experience for travelers. Despite occasional shortcomings in meeting the four-star expectations, such as the lack of fresh orange juice and limited mini-bar options, the hotel still provides a notably good standard. The novel room furnishings and great ambiance make it a pleasant place to stay. Though some basic amenities are missing, which may lower the price-quality ratio, the overall experience seems generally positive. Guests have praised the hotel's class and whether it meets four or five-star standards. The breakfast is rather spartan, as typical in Belgium, but the hotel is still recommended for its excellent service. The atmosphere and quality of accommodation speak to the Radisson's usual high standards.
