Embleton Spa Hotel & Apartments is a comfortable hotel with a great bar and pool, perfect for those who love to swim. The pool is a good size with nice, warm water, but the timing of availability for guests can be a bit difficult, especially for those who are travelling around the area. The pool and hot tub can be enjoyed but have limited times to access them and the changing facilities are basic. While the overall pool size is nice, it generally feels like it has seen better days and the hot tub is outside so virtually unused in winter. However, in terms of safety, the pool area can be a serious accident waiting to happen as it is surrounded by unlit slippery decking. The hotel offers access to a pool, gym, sauna and steam room, but this area is not accessible most of the time by guests, as it is mainly for non-guests and children have swimming lessons throughout the day. Despite these limitations, the swimming pool is inviting and cosy and guests who are able to reserve access to it have a great time with the pool area being relaxing.
