Hospitality Kalgoorlie, SureStay Collection by Best Western, enjoys a positive reputation among its guests, particularly due to its favorable location, excellent breakfast and commendable staff.
The hotel's central positioning on a highway allows for easy access to Kalgoorlie's main shops, dining options, historic district and amenities like the hospital. While some guests find it walkable to the city center, others prefer the convenience of using a car due to the fair distance. Despite nearby road noise in the early morning, the location is frequently praised for its overall convenience and central access.
The complimentary breakfast is a standout feature, consistently receiving high praise for its variety and value. Guests appreciate the well-presented, well-lit dining room that serves a European-inspired continental breakfast with cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt and even pancake-making options. Despite lacking some hot items, guests find the breakfast substantial and of good quality with friendly and helpful service enhancing the experience.
Dinner at the on-site restaurant garners mostly positive feedback with guests often describing the food as amazing and delicious. Highlights include perfectly cooked steaks and an appreciated Asian touch. Although some found the Sunday buffet overpriced and lacking in vegetable selection, most guests enjoyed the generous servings and tasty meals. Minor complaints about cold food and long waiting times were noted, but the restaurant is recognized as a convenient and valuable feature of the hotel.
The hotel's rooms, characterized by their spaciousness and cleanliness, are well-received. Guests appreciate the large, comfortable beds and essential amenities such as fridges and TVs. Although some areas of the hotel appear dated and in need of maintenance, the newer rooms are particularly praised for their excellent condition. The clean and comfortable environment, particularly in rooms away from the main road, along with the overall value for money, make the accommodations a practical choice for visitors.
A significant aspect of the hotel that receives consistent acclaim is the staff. Guests frequently commend the team for their friendliness, helpfulness and efficient service. From reception to restaurant staff, the personnel's dedication and attentive nature greatly enhance the overall guest experience, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable stay.
The WiFi service at the hotel, however, draws mixed reviews. While some guests find it acceptable, others report issues with connectivity and speed. It is suggested that travelers have a backup plan for internet access.
The hotel's pool is another noteworthy feature, praised for its cleanliness and good size. The surrounding area is well-maintained, providing a pleasant and refreshing environment for guests. Despite occasional closures due to maintenance, the pool remains a key attraction.
Overall, Hospitality Kalgoorlie, SureStay Collection by Best Western, offers good value for money as a three-star hotel. Despite its dated decor reminiscent of a classic 80s-style motel, the clean rooms and high-quality bedding ensure a comfortable stay. Its central location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and well-maintained pool make it a reliable and practical choice for visitors to Kalgoorlie, especially those seeking budget-friendly accommodations. The ongoing renovations hint at further improvements, potentially enhancing future stays.
