Very Good
Location
Nestled in lovely surroundings with clear signage to guide you, the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is conveniently located close to the motorway and Scunthorpe. While some guests describe it as being in the middle of nowhere, others say it's in an ideal location, perfect for business travellers and those meeting with family for a meal. However, one guest notes that room 408 needs some attention to the window fitting and/or insulation. Be warned that the swim pool is located outside of the hotel, a 5-10 minute walk away, which may be a challenge if you have kids and the water is really cold. The hotel's smoking area may also be pretty far away for some. On a more positive note, most guests found the location to be well situated and convenient with good position and ease of checking in and out.

Breakfast
Guests have varying opinions on the breakfast at Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. While some considered it excellent, outstanding, superb and brilliant, others found it average, disappointing and tastless. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold options, but there was a long queue in a small area. Some of the food appeared to be mass-produced and cooked hours before, including tasteless sausages and bacon, oily tomatoes and frozen fish and chips. Guests appreciated the opportunity to order eggs cooked to order on arrival and enjoyed the freshly cut fruit, croissants, tea and nuts for muesli. However, some were charged twice for breakfast and found the price unreasonable, while others thought it was reasonably priced. Guests were generally pleased with the polite and helpful staff in the restaurant. Overall, breakfast at this hotel can be improved but offers options that are surprisingly good.

Dinner
The dinner at Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has received mixed reviews from guests. While some guests have praised the good quality and presentation of the restaurant food, others have found it overpriced and below average. Some guests also complained about the delay between courses, squeezed up tables and poor service. Noise from a wedding party made it difficult to eat in the hotel and caused some guests to eat elsewhere. Despite this, some guests have enjoyed the a la carte selection of meals and found the staff to be attentive. It seems that the dinner experience at this hotel can be hit or miss with some guests having a splendid experience while others have found it disappointing.

Rooms
The rooms at the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort have received mixed reviews from previous guests. Some guests found the rooms to be spacious and clean with comfortable beds, while others felt the rooms were dated and in need of an upgrade. Some guests also mentioned that their rooms were quite far from reception. A few guests had issues with the heating, cleanliness or facilities in their rooms. However, other guests were very pleased with their modern and spotless rooms, as well as the lovely views from their balconies. Overall, while some rooms were in need of TLC, others were well-maintained and comfortable.

Beds
Guests of the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort can expect comfortable beds during their stay. Though some reviewers noted that the beds were not the best quality, the majority of guests described their beds as very comfortable or cozy. Some even raved about the twin beds being especially comfortable. However, a few guests did experience disruptions to their sleep due to exterior noise or noisy neighbors. Additionally, a couple of reviews mentioned that the beds may not be the most suitable for two people. Overall, guests can look forward to a comfortable night's rest at this hotel.

Cleanliness
The Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is praised by its guests for its quality and cleanliness. The spacious rooms are kept really clean and the property is well maintained. Nice facilities and a good layout complement the high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Reviews mention that the downstairs areas are clean and tidy and the open areas are spotless. Meanwhile, a few guests have mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as cobwebs in the bedroom, rubbish under chairs and stains on carpets. One guest even encountered dried blood on the walls. Some bathrooms could use a deep clean, while one had mouldy grout. However, the majority of guests felt that the hotel was clean and fresh with some describing it as immaculate and spotless.

Staff
Guests staying at the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort rave about the helpful and friendly staff at the hotel. Despite some isolated incidents, most guests report that the staff are warm, welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to make visitors' stays as enjoyable as possible. The reception staff, in particular Claire, are singled out for special praise with many guests commending their professionalism and kindness. Whether in the spa, restaurant or reception area, guests note that the staff are always on hand and happy to help with any queries. A few guests report that some staff members have been rude, although these incidents seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Overall, visitors to the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort report excellent service from a friendly and attentive team.

Spa
The Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has a lovely spa, but it can get very busy and loud due to the number of children allowed to use the facilities. Reviews mention the need to book well in advance and some guests were disappointed with the Jacuzzi and a small spa size. However, many others had an amazing day at the spa and found it very relaxing. A few guests complained about people hogging the facilities, while others mentioned that the booking system would work well. Some guests saved their towels on beds in the spa area, making it difficult for others to find a spot. However, the poolside toilets were always immaculate and staff at the swimming pool and spa reception were friendly and professional. The property is lovely and advertised as a relaxing spa hotel, but some guests found it unsuitable due to the size of the spa. Overall, it seems that the spa facilities offer a great leisure experience for many, despite a few issues that need work.

Pool
Guests have had mixed experiences with the pool at Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. Some have raved about the pool and spa facilities, citing their excellence, spacious rooms and access. Others have mentioned that the water in the pool and jacuzzi were cool with some suggesting it was too cold for children. Despite some complaints about crowding and access, others have loved the pool and found it to be a great addition to the hotel. However, some guests have noted that the children's swimming lessons were not communicated prior to booking and that the pool closes early at 7 pm. Ultimately, the pool is a lovely feature of the property, but guests should be aware of some of the limitations and be prepared to potentially share the space with a lot of other people.

Family
The Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort offers an excellent family break with loads of activities for kids. However, there is a 5 pm restriction on children under 18. The swimming pool is full of kids and both breakfast and the pool are a real hit. Families can even bring their dogs along! Unfortunately, the food and drink are quite expensive and there are long queues for breakfast in a small area. Additionally, some guests report that the swim pool is too cold for kids and it's located outside the hotel, which makes it hard to walk there with children. Furthermore, the hotel does not specialize in kids' meals and there are no children's facilities in the spa area. There could also be noise issues as kids run and shout around the hotel, especially during meal times. Nevertheless, the hotel is a great venue for a family stay and some grandparents bring their grandkids to have lovely getaways together. The hotel may be more suitable for active guests and families with older children or teens.

Golf
If you're looking for a hotel with fantastic golf facilities, Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is the perfect choice. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and boasts a fabulous golf course that guests cannot get enough of. Many have even spent nearly 2k with their families here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Guests also like the fact that they can enjoy walks and runs around the golf course, making it perfect for fitness enthusiasts. The location is great and even hosts large golf competitions, making it the perfect getaway for avid golfers. Not into golf? No problem! The hotel also has a great spa and guests have enjoyed spending time around the gardens, which are just as lovely as the property itself. All in all, a highly enjoyable overnight stay in excellent surroundings.

Dog Friendly
If you're planning a getaway with your furry friend, the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort could be just what you're looking for. Many guests have praised this hotel for being incredibly dog-friendly with pets allowed in all areas of the hotel. One guest even gave an extra star purely for how pet-friendly it was! Other dog-owning guests appreciated being able to bring their four-legged family members along and found the hotel very suitable for their needs. However, a few guests did note that they found it uncomfortable having dogs in areas where food was being served, like the lounge or restaurant. Additionally, some guests experienced noise issues with dogs barking in nearby rooms. Overall though, if you're keen to travel with your dog in tow, this hotel could offer the perfect solution.
