Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel des Eaux offers a delightful stay with a blend of modern amenities and historic charm, set in an exceptional location in the heart of Aix les Bains. The hotel’s strategic placement within walking distance of the city center, thermal baths and cultural landmarks like the Notre-Dame Church and Faure Museum makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Despite its central position, the tranquil setting provides a peaceful retreat with well-maintained gardens and picturesque surroundings.
Breakfast at Hotel des Eaux is a standout feature, garnering high praise for its variety and quality. Served in an aesthetically pleasing art deco dining room, the breakfast buffet includes a wide selection of fresh local products, excellent homemade pastries and freshly squeezed fruit juice, catering to diverse tastes and setting a positive tone for the day.
The dinner experience at the hotel is generally appreciated for its delicious, homemade meals and top-notch service. Although the menu options are somewhat limited and the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, guests enjoy the simplicity and quality of the dishes, making dinner a positive dining choice.
The spacious, newly renovated rooms at Hotel des Eaux are often highlighted for their comfort, cleanliness and modern amenities, including large TVs and well-appointed kitchenettes. While a few rooms may lack air conditioning or have outdated decor, most guests find their stay comfortable and appreciate the blend of modern and vintage charm.
Cleanliness is a significant highlight with guests consistently noting the spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities. The attentive and friendly staff further enhance the guest experience, providing exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Parking at the hotel is another convenience, offering free, secure spaces that are easily accessible, adding to the hassle-free experience for guests traveling by car. The hotel's family-friendly environment is well-regarded with spacious rooms and practical amenities accommodated by a welcoming and hospitable staff.
While the hotel’s WiFi service has received mixed feedback due to inconsistent coverage, other amenities like comfortable beds and a welcoming ambiance contribute positively to the overall guest experience.
Hotel des Eaux delivers a solid three-star experience with an emphasis on value, cleanliness and accessibility. It's an excellent choice for families, couples and individual travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in a picturesque location with modern comforts and historical charm.
