Shambhala @ Byron has been capturing hearts with its divine location. Located right on Belongil Beach, this hotel provides access to the beach, which is just a few steps away from the ocean. Guests rave about the location with some saying it’s a paradise and breath-taking. They enjoyed the tranquillity of the lovely and quiet location while being close enough to the hub. The property is only 20 minutes away from Byron Bay town, which is a pleasant walking distance from the beach. The hotel offers private access to Belongil Beach, which is an excellent location for those looking for a perfect spot out of town with a calm vibe. Guests have also commended the hotel's facilities, which are amazing and make the stay even more great. Some guests appreciated the pet-friendly policy, which is great for those who like to travel with their fur babies. Staff have been described as fabulous and friendly, accommodating guests with their needs. Overall, it's a fantastic set up with an excellent location, allowing guests to enjoy the stunning and unique setting that Shambhala @ Byron provides.

Guests who stayed in the Shanti villa were impressed and found the room to be more than adequate. The furniture was nice and the kitchen was fully stocked. The spacious and luxurious two-level villa/loft had an amazing view of the ocean. Even the small kitchen and Webber bbq had more than enough utensils and supplies with thoughtful touches. Privacy is also ensured in this room, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful and secluded stay. The house is great and well-equipped, including private beach access. The location is perfect and the facilities provided are amazing, adding to an already wonderful experience. However, note that some rooms and bathrooms may be in need of an upgrade and one or two reviews indicated cramped internal spaces.

Cleanliness

Shambhala @ Byron is a beautiful property that offers exceptional facilities and a wonderful stay. The villa is very clean and well maintained, offering amazing amenities that make for an unforgettable experience. Although there isn't daily housekeeping, the management does their best to keep the place impromptu clean whenever possible. While some guests found the carpet in the Lounge to be a bit smelly and the floors to be too sandy on arrival, the majority of guests found the villa to be clean and beautiful. The railings were dusty but other than that, the house was very clean and well-kept. Overall, the cleanliness of Shambhala @ Byron was not a huge issue and did not detract from the enjoyment of the stay.

The staff is described as being lovely, warm and hospitable, going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They're always ready to assist in any way possible, from replying in a timely manner to keeping guests informed during difficult times like the flooding in December 2020. The care of the staff is exceptional and they're known for going above and beyond for their guests. Even when there's an issue, guests can have confidence that the staff will sort it out quickly. Overall, the lovely staff and their fantastic service are a major highlight of this property and many guests can't wait to return.
