Situated in a prime location with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and local markets, Hotel Princesa Louçã offers a convenient setting for travelers. Guests frequently praise the hotel for its well-maintained facilities, comfortable beds, and attentive staff, which aligns with the expectations of a four-star service. The breakfast service is notably accommodating, starting as early as 5:00 AM, making it an excellent option for early travelers heading to destinations like Marajó.
However, while the service may meet four-star standards, the infrastructure and amenities seem to lag behind. Many reviews indicate that the hotel's age is evident in its outdated TV sets, occasional lack of hot water, and need for more comprehensive maintenance. Some visitors feel that the overall quality aligns more closely with a three-star rating, lamenting the outdated structure and noting issues like unreliable internet and maintenance concerns.
Notably, Hotel Princesa Louçã was once a Hilton, and it retains a certain charm and potential reflective of its prestigious past. Yet, reviewers highlight a clear need for investment and renovation to truly meet the expectations set by its four-star claim. Despite its shortcomings, the hotel offers a balance of comfort and service that some find to be a worthwhile experience, especially given its pricing compared to area alternatives.

Summary of reviews related to the '4 Star' category
Summarized by AI
Mercure Belem Boulevard has garnered a mixture of feedback from guests with several pointing out that the facilities and services fall short of the expected standards for a four-star hotel. Multiple reviewers noted that the accommodations did not live up to the brand's reputation, expressing disappointment over the quality of the rooms and service. The hotel was also criticized for having a high daily rate for parking and for not having staff who could communicate in English, which can be challenging for international guests. These reviews suggest that while the name Mercure typically assures a certain level of quality, the Belem Boulevard location may need to make significant improvements to meet these expectations.
