The hostel is noted for its spacious rooms with high ceilings and private amenities, ensuring a peaceful and restful stay. Free nearby parking adds to the convenience for those traveling by car.
Guests consistently celebrate the quality of the breakfast at Ostello Ortensi, lauding the variety of homemade cakes and excellent espresso, adding a delightful start to each day. The attentive staff, who cater to specific dietary preferences, further enriches the experience, making breakfast a memorable highlight.
The attached restaurant is a hidden gem, displaying a culinary expertise that gains high acclaim in an area with limited dining options. Guests enjoy a memorable dining experience with an impressive wine list, thanks to the skillful cuisine and knowledgeable service. Despite the restaurant's ambiance feeling a touch outdated, this minor point is overshadowed by the dining quality.
The hostel's cleanliness is consistently praised, with well-maintained rooms that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Any occasional inconvenience, like variations in restaurant operations, is easily outweighed by the superb quality-to-price ratio and the beautifully tidied rooms.

Although the bedding receives a mix of reviews—some highlight the comfort while others note a need for updates—travelers generally find the beds adequate for short stays. The possibility of bedding rental and occasional temperature issues are minor considerations in light of the overall highly positive experience.
In summary, Ostello Ortensi is a standout choice for travelers seeking a harmonious blend of access to cultural sites, serene accommodations, and genuine hospitality, all at an attractive value.
