Summary of reviews

Summarized by AI

'Santorini' presents itself as a hotel with a blend of strengths and areas needing considerable improvement. Guests have praised its convenient location near essential amenities such as McDonald's and Kaufland supermarket, making it easy to access necessary services. The quiet, private sector setting adds to the appeal, contributing to a tranquil stay for visitors who do not mind being a bit distant from the city center. This characteristic offers a suitable option for those prioritizing nearby conveniences over central city access.

The reviews on the rooms at 'Santorini' show a mix of opinions. Positive feedback includes comments on spacious and cozy rooms, some of which feature beautifully styled ornamented wallpaper and added conveniences like kitchenettes. However, these positives are overshadowed by numerous criticisms concerning cleanliness and maintenance. Issues such as dirty carpets, unpleasant odors and outdated furniture detract significantly from the guest experience. Several reviews also pointed out practical drawbacks like the lack of basic amenities and inconsistencies between booked and provided rooms.

Cleanliness and maintenance appear to be major challenges for 'Santorini.' Guests have frequently highlighted problems with dirty carpets, stained bed linen and unsanitary conditions, particularly in bathrooms. Unpleasant smells, ranging from mold and cigarette smoke to sewage, were also commonly reported. The need for significant improvements in cleanliness and upkeep to ensure a hospitable environment is evident.

Despite these challenges, the hotel staff receives widespread acclaim for their courteous and friendly nature. Guests noted the politeness and responsiveness of the reception team and the overall helpful demeanor of the landlords. While there were occasional mentions of communication difficulties and isolated incidents of demanding behavior from the administration, the predominant sentiment is one of appreciation for the positive interactions with the staff.

When it comes to beds, many guests found the primary sleeping arrangements to be comfortable, commending the large double beds and comfortable mattresses. Nonetheless, there were some complaints, including issues with stained beds, broken frames and an uncomfortable sofa bed, indicating that while main beds generally meet expectations, secondary sleeping arrangements might require attention.

In summary, 'Santorini' offers a convenient and tranquil location, comfortable primary beds and a friendly staff, but significant improvements in room cleanliness, maintenance and consistency are necessary to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

The pool area at Roxen Hotel&Spa is generally well-regarded for its aesthetic appeal and is considered a pleasant space to unwind. Guests often mention its nice size, making it suitable for a refreshing dip. The ambiance indoors is also described as very warm, enhancing the overall pool experience. However, it is important to note that the pool water is frequently reported to be on the colder side with temperatures mentioned not exceeding 15 degrees. While some guests find this invigorating, others might prefer warmer water.

An additional factor to consider is that access to the pool and saunas comes at an extra cost, which some find pricey, particularly since the hotel markets itself as a spa destination. The outdoor pool next to the Maxim Pasha Hotel has received favorable comments. However, the indoor pool seems to have several drawbacks with many guests reporting that it was very cold, described more like a large bathtub and quite small. The cleanliness of the pool area has been questioned with reports of dust and a lack of ventilation. Additionally, the indoor pool, which is open 24/7, is situated in the basement and appears somewhat outdated. Another point to note is that access to the pool comes at an extra cost, an aspect not always clearly specified to guests. This has led to some dissatisfaction among visitors who were not expecting additional charges. Moreover, the pool area sometimes gets reserved from the evening until late night, limiting accessibility for other guests. In summary, while the outdoor pool is appreciated, the indoor pool does not seem to meet guest expectations due to its condition, temperature and associated costs.
