Motel Edgebrook Chicago North Shore By Oyo boasts a convenient location, making it an appealing choice for both leisure and business travelers. Guests appreciate its proximity to downtown Chicago, Devon Street, and a variety of shopping options like Costco, Target, and ALDI. The hotel is close to dining and entertainment venues, and its easy access to major highways and public transportation makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the area. Free parking and a safe environment further enhance its attractiveness.
The hotel's staff consistently receives high praise from visitors for their friendliness and professionalism. The team is noted for creating a welcoming atmosphere, being quick to assist with guest needs, and offering useful local recommendations. This attentive service adds significant value to the overall guest experience.
Guests often mention the comfort of the beds, describing them as wide and supportive, which aids in a restful sleep. However, opinions on the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms vary. While some rooms are modern and include amenities such as mini fridges and microwaves, there are recurring concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Reports of unfavorable odors, stained linens, and issues with basic amenities like temperature control and plumbing are common. Structural issues such as poorly fitting doors also detract from the experience.
Despite the appealing aspects of location and staffing, the overall experience is affected by inconsistencies in cleanliness and room maintenance. The hotel offers affordability and convenience but could benefit from improvements in upkeep to elevate guest satisfaction.
