Pena D'Água Boutique Hotel & Villas provides a variety of parking options, though availability is limited and comes with certain challenges. While the hotel does offer the convenience of on-site parking, guests should be prepared for the added expense of 15 euros for secure parking within the hotel gate, including for motorcycles. This secure parking option is particularly beneficial for those traveling by motorcycle, ensuring peace of mind during their stay.
Electric car owners can benefit from the hotel's parking facilities equipped with chargers, adding a modern touch to their services. Despite these offerings, it's important to note that the hotel itself has very few parking spaces, only accommodating two guest vehicles at any given time. For those who may find the hotel parking insufficient or costly, free parking alternatives can be found in the surrounding area, though availability is not guaranteed and may require some searching.
Guests have highlighted the absence of private parking immediately adjacent to the hotel, indicating that options like a private garage are located approximately 300 meters away, which might pose a challenge for those with extensive luggage or mobility issues. Overall, understanding the parking situation in advance can help visitors plan their arrival and manage any potential inconveniences while enjoying their stay at this boutique hotel.

Casa Do Refugio Guest House provides convenient parking options for guests, ensuring peace of mind during their stay. The hotel offers private parking spaces that are close and easily accessible from the apartment. Despite a long, narrow, and curvy driveway, guests find it manageable to navigate. The parking site affords enough room for vehicles, including vans. After unloading luggage, guests can confidently park their car on the private property. Mikotania enjoys a highly praised location near the center of Covilhã, offering convenient access to both local attractions and Serra da Estrela. Guests find its position ideal for exploring while appreciating the serene retreat it provides. A standout feature is free parking, which adds significant value to the guest experience, alongside the clean and spacious rooms that ensure a comfortable stay.
The cleanliness of Mikotania is remarked upon, as rooms are meticulously maintained, organized, and pleasantly fragrant, enhancing the overall experience. The charming rustic decor with granite stone walls offers a cozy mountain atmosphere. Comfortable bedding is frequently highlighted, although some furniture and fixtures might benefit from updates. The staff, led by the notably welcoming Ms. Tânia, receive commendation for their friendliness and exceptional service, contributing to a hospitable environment.
Despite the lack of breakfast services, which some guests miss, Mikotania manages to offer a satisfactory experience. While bathrooms may require renovation and improved thermal insulation, the cleanliness overall remains a strong point, complemented by scenic views that enhance the inviting ambiance. Issues with bedding, such as discomfort from mattress springs or bunk bed safety, occasionally arise, yet the attention from staff softens these drawbacks, ensuring guests feel well-supported.
Overall, Mikotania stands out as a clean, comfortable, and welcoming hotel, offering a tranquil environment for visitors seeking a restful retreat while exploring the region.
