Guests have highly praised the pool at La Quinta by Wyndham Clifton/Rutherford for its cleanliness and size with several noting the pool was great, very nice and big. However, many reviews have expressed dissatisfaction due to frequent closures. The pool has often been closed for maintenance, renovations or unspecified reasons, causing disappointment among visitors. Issues such as hair around the pool, lack of clean towels and cold water have also been mentioned. Some guests were particularly upset that the pool’s closure was not communicated via the booking page, leading to misplaced expectations. Despite these recurring closures, when the pool was operational, it was appreciated by those who got to use it.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' category
Summarized by AI
DoubleTree by Hilton New York-LaGuardia offers guests a variety of amenities, including a swimming pool and hot tub, which many found enjoyable and well-maintained. Visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the pool area and the adjacent outdoor patio, which provided a pleasant space to relax. The presence of a pool, along with a sauna and gym facilities, added to the overall value of the stay for some guests.
However, a recurring issue noted by several visitors was the frequent closures of the pool and hot tub due to maintenance or repairs. This led to disappointment, particularly among those who were looking forward to the aquatic facilities as part of their stay. Instances of the pool being extremely cold were also mentioned, impacting the experience for some users. While the advertised spa and pool amenities were a draw for many, the inconsistency in their availability suggests that guests should confirm their operational status ahead of their visit.
