Barceló Palmeraie Oasis Resort, located in a serene palm grove on the outskirts of Marrakech, is lauded for its tranquil and picturesque environment, making it ideal for relaxation and family time. The hotel's beautiful setting, abundant greenery and meticulously cared-for gardens create a peaceful haven away from the city's hustle and bustle. While it is somewhat distant from the city center—about a 20-minute taxi ride—the hotel addresses this with a convenient free shuttle service.
The breakfast experience at Barceló Palmeraie Oasis Resort is highly praised for its variety and quality. Guests appreciate the diverse and fresh offerings, including Moroccan specialties, which make for an enjoyable start to the day. Dinner also receives positive feedback, especially for its flavorful Moroccan and European dishes, though some guests suggest more variety and improved evening entertainment.
Rooms at the hotel are generally spacious, clean and comfortable, offering modern design and pleasant views. However, there are occasional reports of maintenance issues and inconsistencies in cleanliness. Despite this, many guests highlight the comfortable bedding and overall restful experience.
The cleanliness of the hotel is another strong point with well-maintained pools, rooms and common areas frequently mentioned. However, some areas, such as room floors and showers, could benefit from more attention.
The staff at Barceló Palmeraie Oasis Resort are repeatedly commended for their exceptional service and friendliness. Guests note that the staff are welcoming, attentive and efficient, contributing significantly to a positive stay.
On-site amenities include several impressive pools, a well-received spa and decent tennis facilities. The hotel's pools, particularly the Zen pool and the heated options, are popular for their cleanliness and tranquility. The spa offers excellent services with skilled staff, enhancing guests' relaxation experiences.
However, the gym lacks in size, equipment and maintenance, falling short of guest expectations. The Wi-Fi is described as fast and reliable by some, but inconsistent by others. Parking is adequate but located a bit far from the rooms with shuttle services mitigating this inconvenience.
The hotel is especially recommended for families, thanks to its family-friendly environment and numerous child-oriented activities. The kids club and family pools receive high praise for keeping children entertained and safe.
In summary, Barceló Palmeraie Oasis Resort is well-regarded for its tranquil setting, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and family-friendly facilities, despite minor areas needing improvement such as room maintenance and gym amenities.
