Summary of reviews

Red Roof Inn Wilkes-Barre Arena enjoys a prime location that garners consistent praise from guests. Centrally situated near restaurants, stores, a casino and various attractions in Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA), the hotel's easy access from the highway and the relatively quiet surroundings add to its desirability. The convenience of being pet-friendly also appeals to a wide range of travelers.
Guests often laud the cleanliness of the rooms, which are described as spacious, well-maintained and comfortable with good maintenance and friendly staff being common themes. The rooms come equipped with flat-screen TVs and a variety of channels. However, a few guests reported issues such as unpleasant odors and the occasional need for better bathroom cleaning. Despite some challenges, the overall commitment to a clean and comfortable stay is evident.
The staff generally receives positive feedback with many guests finding them friendly, helpful and accommodating. The morning staff and cleaning crew are particularly noted for their pleasant demeanor. However, some interactions with the front desk staff were less favorable with criticisms of unprofessional and cold behavior.
While guests appreciate the spaciousness and comfort of many of the beds, there are mixed reviews about their overall quality. Some found the beds to be exceptionally comfortable, while others reported concerns about hard, lumpy or worn-out mattresses.
One area ripe for improvement is the breakfast offering. Although guests can find nearby spots like Cracker Barrel for breakfast, many expressed a desire for a continental breakfast at the hotel. The absence of in-room coffee machines and the limited availability of just coffee in the lobby were also noted as shortcomings.
In summary, the Red Roof Inn Wilkes-Barre Arena offers a well-located and generally comfortable stay with clean rooms and a friendly staff. While there are areas needing attention, such as the bed quality and breakfast options, the hotel remains a convenient and pet-friendly choice for travelers in the region.
