Essendon Motel offers budget-friendly accommodation primarily appealing to travelers due to its highly praised location near Melbourne and Essendon airports. This strategic position makes it especially convenient for those with early morning flights or travelers seeking easy access to major highways, public transport, shopping centers and local eateries. Guests also appreciate the straightforward parking facilities, which contribute to a hassle-free arrival and departure experience.
The motel provides spacious rooms that cater well to families and those with multiple suitcases. Guests often find the beds comfortable and the location suitable for short-term stays. The staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful, often going the extra mile to assist with check-in procedures and general inquiries.
However, numerous reviews highlight significant areas that need improvement. Cleanliness and maintenance are common concerns with reports of unclean bathrooms, unpleasant odors and broken furniture indicating a decline in the upkeep of the facilities. The WiFi service is another major downside, often described as non-functional despite being advertised as free.
The motel's overall condition, including its three-star rating, suggests that while it offers good value for money due to its location and reasonable pricing, it falls short in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Some guests report inconsistent service and unprofessional staff behavior, although many still commend individual staff members for their courteousness.
In summary, Essendon Motel stands out for its prime location and spacious rooms but requires significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance and WiFi connectivity to enhance the overall guest experience.
