The surrounding area is rich with amenities, adding to the overall convenience for guests.
The rooms at Palm Hostel are described as basic and functional, providing a comfortable space for rest with positive remarks on the comfort of the beds. However, cleanliness issues and the compact size of the rooms have been noted with some lacking windows and natural light. On the positive side, some rooms come with private bathrooms and amenities like balconies, which are appreciated by guests.
Cleanliness receives mixed reviews. While some guests commend certain areas for being clean and adequately maintained with freshly washed linen, many others have expressed concerns about overall hygiene. Complaints include dirty bathrooms, stained sheets, moldy rooms and a lack of regular cleaning services during extended stays.
The staff at Palm Hostel stands out for their warm hospitality and attentiveness. They are consistently described as helpful, friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to assist guests. The excellent customer service contributes significantly to a positive atmosphere, making the hostel a standout option for travelers seeking a supportive stay.
Free WiFi is another appreciated amenity with generally positive feedback on its speed and stability. However, some guests have experienced poor connections, particularly at night or in certain rooms. The availability of free tea and coffee adds a pleasant touch to the overall experience.
The beds receive largely positive reviews for their comfort with many noting recent upgrades to mattresses. Though some guests pointed out issues with bed size and structural instability in bunk beds, the general consensus is that the sleeping arrangements are comfortable.
In summary, despite some concerns about cleanliness and room features, Palm Hostel's stellar location, friendly staff and comfortable beds make it a favored choice for travelers wishing to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and history of Jerusalem.
