The Inn of Long Beach stands out for its prime location, offering guests easy access to the beach, local restaurants, and major attractions like the convention center and aquarium. This strategic placement is especially beneficial for those attending events or conferences, thanks to its nearness to the cruise port and Long Beach Grand Prix race track. While the surrounding area might appear a little worn, the hotel's location remains a significant plus for exploring all that Long Beach has to offer.
The staff at the Inn consistently earn praise for their friendly and helpful nature, greatly enhancing the guest experience. Notable team members like Andy, David, and Maria are often commended for their exceptional customer service, offering valuable local insights and ensuring a smooth check-in process. This welcoming atmosphere is a highlight of the stay.
Guests also appreciate the free onsite parking, which adds to the convenience of the Inn's location. Though the parking lot can be tight, especially for larger vehicles, the availability of free parking is a notable perk for both business and leisure travelers.
However, reviews indicate several areas in need of improvement. The rooms, despite offering essential amenities, are criticized for inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance. Concerns include stained furnishings, suspicious odors, and general disrepair, with some guests reporting issues with pests. Similarly, cleanliness issues affect the pool area, where maintenance challenges and a frequently unavailable hot tub detract from the relaxation experience.
Beds at the Inn receive mixed feedback, with firmness levels suiting some but not others. Bedding materials and pillow comfort are occasionally criticized, suggesting that future guests consider their personal preferences.
In summary, while the Inn of Long Beach excels in location and staff friendliness, improvements in room and facility cleanliness, as well as bed comfort, could significantly enhance guest satisfaction.
