Occidental Cádiz presents a mixed experience with reviews highlighting both its strengths and areas for improvement. The hotel benefits from a great location, though it may not be as central as some guests expected, offering comfortable short stays with essential amenities in the rooms. The facilities include convenient features like on-site parking, and guests appreciated the friendly and attentive staff who addressed issues promptly.
However, there is notable criticism regarding the hotel's four-star rating, with multiple reviews suggesting it aligns more with a three-star standard. Issues such as worn-out room furnishings, missing bathroom accessories, and maintenance concerns, including mold in the bathrooms, have been pointed out as areas needing attention. The hotel's atmosphere differed from typical four-star expectations, with some guests feeling that the quality and formality were lacking.
Despite these shortcomings, guests acknowledged the hotel's cleanliness and the comfort of its beds and pillows. Overall, while the hotel provides a satisfactory stay with a few convenience factors, those seeking a more luxurious four-star experience might consider looking elsewhere or being prepared for a low-key stay.

Hotel Spa Cádiz Plaza offers a mixed experience when it comes to alignment with its four-star rating. Many guests note that the facilities and services do not meet the expected standards of a 4-star establishment, pointing out that it feels more like a 3-star hotel. Specific criticisms include inadequate bathrooms, insufficient soundproofing and a breakfast that does not correspond to the quality one would anticipate from a hotel of this category. Furthermore, the general atmosphere and service were perceived as lacking the professionalism and class typical of a 4-star hotel. Some visitors felt that the photos did not accurately represent the actual state of the hotel and suggested that an update is necessary. Despite charging rates consistent with new 4-star hotels, the overall consensus among reviewers is that Hotel Spa Cádiz Plaza falls short of fulfilling the expectations tied to its advertised rating, making it more comparable to a good 3-star hotel.

Hotel Playa Victoria presents a mixed experience for guests regarding its four-star rating. While the hotel is described as well-equipped and maintains a certain level of comfort that aligns with its four-star classification, many reviews suggest that it does not consistently meet the expected standards of a four-star establishment. Some guests feel the hotel shows its age and believe the facilities and services could be improved to match the premium rating.
There are positive remarks about the hotel being classic with good facilities and a few satisfied guests even rate it as excellent for a four-star hotel. However, these praises are countered by comments implying that the quality is closer to that of a three-star hotel with more cleaning and better services required to justify the four-star status. Overall, while there are aspects of the hotel that live up to the four-star promise, it appears that there are several areas needing enhancement to fully meet customer expectations.

Cádiz Bahía by QHotels is generally regarded as a solid four-star establishment with high-end facilities and commendable services that justify its rating. Guests have praised its great facilities, including a superb pool and an amazing beach located just in front of the hotel. The location is also noted for its convenience, offering easy access to many nearby supermarkets, restaurants and bars, as well as a beautiful promenade perfect for walks. Decoration throughout the hotel is cited as being above average for its category.
However, there have been some criticisms related to its four-star status. Some guests found the dinner offerings to be below the standard expected from a hotel of its rating and the provision of amenities like liquid soap and shampoo left something to be desired. Hotel Cádiz Paseo del Mar, Affiliated by Meliá, presents itself as a four-star establishment, but many guest reviews suggest it falls short of this rating. The hotel seems to lack some amenities and accessories that travelers typically expect at a four-star property, such as cotton swabs, toothpaste, hair caps and even kettles in the rooms. The central ventilation system poses another issue, reportedly being set to heating instead of cooling, which could make stays uncomfortable during warmer periods.
Guests have noted that the overall experience feels very basic and does not align with the expectations set by its four-star label with some describing a distinct mismatch between the price and the quality offered. There is a general feeling of disappointment among visitors who expected more refined services and facilities.
Compounding these issues is the absence of notable features, such as a pool, that would have added extra flair and comfort to the vacation experience. Comparatively, other four-star hotels appear to have managed to meet or exceed these standards more effectively, leaving Hotel Cádiz Paseo del Mar falling short in its competitive set.

Gran Hotel Ciudad Del Sur, a four-star establishment, has sparked a range of opinions among its guests. Many visitors appreciate the hotel for its very good price-quality ratio, noting that despite some shortcomings, everything was generally good. However, the hotel's four-star rating is consistently questioned, with many reviewers expressing that the facilities and services do not meet the expected standards for such a rating.
The decor and amenities are seen as outdated, and breakfast offerings could be more varied, especially in a hotel of its supposed caliber. Some guests felt the hotel lacked leisure activities and events, elements typically associated with a four-star experience. The reception service and other areas, such as the bar, also fall short in providing the expected four-star service level.
Moreover, there seem to be practical limitations, such as the hotel's location being far from towns with services, requiring visitors to rely on a car to access nearby amenities. Despite some claims of perfection in certain aspects, there were notable gaps such as the absence of a minibar and insufficient bathroom lighting, which contribute to a general sentiment that the hotel is more in line with a three-star rating. Overall, while the hotel has good aspects, it often fails to align with the typical expectations of a four-star establishment.
