The hotel's central yet peaceful setting, along with ample free parking and beautifully green surroundings, makes it an ideal base for exploring the nearby area, including Maastricht. This strategic location, paired with friendly staff and well-kept facilities, cements the hotel as a favored choice for both leisure and event stays.
The breakfast at Hotel Schaepkens van St Fijt receives generally positive reviews, praised for its variety, abundance and delicious options. The breakfast buffet is described as extensive and well-catered, featuring freshly squeezed orange juice and tasty egg dishes. Dinner experiences are more mixed with some guests appreciating the well-stocked and tasty buffet, live cooking and evening options. However, others noted limited variety, overcooked dishes and higher prices affecting value for money. However, numerous reviews point out maintenance issues, such as dirty carpets, cobwebs and unclean bathrooms, indicating a need for more consistent hygiene standards.

Nonetheless, instances of understaffing and occasional rude behavior were noted, suggesting operational challenges and inconsistencies in service levels.
The free Wi-Fi is robust in communal areas but less reliable in rooms, posing a potential frustration for guests needing consistent internet access.
The swimming pool stands out as a major highlight, praised for its beautiful design, cleanliness and modern appeal, despite occasional remarks about its temperature. Family-friendliness is another strong point with many guests appreciating the accommodating staff and enjoyable amenities for children, such as gift towels and pool fun.
