While some guests unfortunately experienced a skin issue after using the hot tub (folliculitis), this was the exception rather than the rule and most guests were thrilled with their spa experience. The staff at the spa are friendly and attentive, although reservations should be made in advance to avoid disappointment.

One particularly memorable aspect of the spa is the view - one guest saw a 1,100 year old olive tree from their room while enjoying a relaxing day at the spa. Some reviewers also appreciate the opportunity to indulge in the all-inclusive dining options while at the spa, as well as the chance to explore the grounds.

Overall, if you're looking for a luxurious spa experience in an historic hotel, the Convento do Espinheiro should definitely be at the top of your list.
