Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Spa offers a gym that has garnered mixed feedback from guests. On the positive side, the gym equipment is noted to be new and well-maintained. However, numerous reviews highlight several areas for improvement. Many guests find the gym to be quite small, often resulting in a crowded environment. The limited size and equipment make it feel insufficient for a five-star hotel with some noting that it is split into two very tiny rooms. Opening hours are also a significant point of contention with the gym only available from 10 am, which many guests feel is too late, especially for those who prefer early morning workouts.
Additionally, there are complaints about the gym being part of the SPA, suggesting that it should be relocated and more accessible. A few guests also mentioned that some cardio machines were not operational and that the gym equipment could benefit from an upgrade. Concerns were raised over the additional charges for gym access, which some guests believe should be included in the hotel stay given the already high costs associated with a five-star establishment. Despite occasional opportunities to use the gym freely due to low usage, the overall sentiment points towards a need for enlargement, better equipment and more accommodating hours.

Many found it to have all the necessary resources and described it as excellent or good with some appreciating the availability of basic yet sufficient equipment.
However, the gym’s small size was frequently noted as a drawback with several reviews mentioning the limited space, equating it to a small fitness room or even just 10 square meters with a few machines.
