The spa experience at Casas Novas Countryside Hotel Spa & Events receives a mix of feedback but highlights several standout features. Guests frequently praise the excellent and pleasant spa area, noting that it includes facilities such as an indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, hammam and a jacuzzi. The inclusion of the spa in the price is seen as a significant benefit, making access convenient and cost-efficient for guests.
However, there are some concerns regarding maintenance and supervision. The spa area occasionally suffers from maintenance issues like cold water in the jacuzzi, broken parts and pool tiles coming off. These issues point to a need for renovation and more consistent cleaning to ensure water quality and a clean environment. Supervision in the spa area also seems to be lacking, leading to problems like excessive chlorine causing skin and eye irritation and potentially unbalanced pH levels in the pools.
Despite these drawbacks, the overall structure and amenities of the spa are well-received, providing a good variety of facilities for relaxation. The indoor pool, in particular, is described as magnificent and very beautiful. Guests also appreciate the availability of massages, although there have been occasional issues with the availability of therapists.
In summary, the spa at Casas Novas Countryside Hotel Spa & Events offers a variety of enjoyable amenities and is often highlighted as a great feature of the hotel. However, attention to maintenance and supervision is needed to fully meet guest expectations.

Vidago Palace boasts a wonderful spa that offers a range of services at a great value. With a spacious gym, large indoor pool, huge outdoor pool with tropical hot water, sauna, Turkish bath and more, the spa facility provides a gorgeous experience for guests. While some have noted that the spa staff may not be the most specialized, they are all kind and accommodating. Guests can even enjoy a Vichy shower and relaxation rooms after their massages. However, there are extra charges for spa access that some find unreasonable for a hotel of this class. Unfortunately, the indoor pool is basic and outdated, but the outdoor pool and other amenities are fantastic. While the spa could offer more for a hotel that prides itself on being a thermal spa, the overall ambiance and impeccable service make for a royal experience.
