Redwings Lodge Dunstable is well-regarded for its strategic location, particularly beneficial for travelers due to easy access to major routes like the M1 and the A5. It’s situated conveniently close to key attractions such as Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo and provides a peaceful setting despite its proximity to a busy road. Local dining options are also a hit among guests, especially the highly praised BINN Diner. The hotel offers ample free parking, which is secure and appreciated by many.
Rooms at the lodge are spacious and generally clean, featuring comfortable beds and necessary amenities like tea and coffee. However, there are inconsistencies regarding maintenance and decor with some areas showing signs of wear and tear. Despite these issues, the accommodations offer good value for money, particularly for short stays or budget-conscious travelers.
The lodge excels in customer service with staff consistently described as friendly, helpful and welcoming. Guests feel well taken care of and appreciate the positive interactions with the team. The hotel’s pet-friendly policies are also a standout, making it an excellent choice for those traveling with dogs.
Complimentary breakfast is included, although it is basic and self-service with some guests wishing for more variety. While the on-site restaurant is closed, nearby dining options compensate with quality food and convenient discounts.
Overall, Redwings Lodge Dunstable is a practical option for travelers seeking affordable and comfortable accommodations, supported by a friendly staff and an excellent location. Yet, it could benefit from some modernization and improved consistency in cleanliness and maintenance.
