Days Inn by Wyndham Knoxville West enjoys favorable feedback for its strategic and quiet location. Conveniently situated near a hospital and the interstate, it offers easy access for medical visits and travel with various dining options within walking distance. Guests have appreciated the ease of check-in and the courteous staff, contributing to a pleasant stay.
However, the hotel's breakfast offerings have received a mixed reception. Many guests were disappointed by the limited and sometimes non-existent breakfast options, often only finding apples, granola bars and coffee or juice. A few positive remarks were made about the friendly breakfast service, but overall, the breakfast experience left many guests dissatisfied.
The guest rooms at the hotel have been a significant point of concern. Reports frequently mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, such as roaches, stained bedding, dirty floors and cigarette odors. Problems with room fixtures like broken light fixtures, loose outlets and malfunctioning air conditioning units further detracted from the experience. Despite the rooms being spacious, the negative feedback on upkeep and hygiene predominated.
Cleanliness across the hotel has been criticized with numerous reports of dirty rooms and bathrooms, stained bedding, peeling paint and mold. The presence of bedbugs and roaches was a common complaint, undermining the guest experience. While a few guests noted comfortable beds, the overall cleanliness issues highlighted a need for substantial improvements.
Staff interactions varied widely. Many guests found the staff friendly, helpful and accommodating, particularly praising the night shift and housekeeping. However, there were significant reports of rudeness, communication problems and inconsistent policies. These mixed experiences suggest that while some staff members are commendable, consistency in customer service is needed.
Opinions on bed comfort were also mixed. Many guests found the beds comfortable, mentioning the quality of the mattresses and king-size beds with some appreciating new bedding. Nonetheless, there were complaints about uncomfortable, lumpy mattresses and concerns about bedbugs, indicating the need for improved consistency in ensuring bed comfort and hygiene.
In conclusion, while Days Inn by Wyndham Knoxville West benefits from its prime location and some positive interactions with staff, the hotel faces significant challenges in cleanliness, maintenance, breakfast offerings and service consistency.

Baymont by Wyndham Knoxville/Cedar Bluff stands out as a dog-friendly property with a range of amenities and policies that cater well to pet owners. Guests have noted the convenience of the pet policy and appreciated that pets are accommodated with rooms specifically designated for pet stays, typically on the first floor to facilitate easy access and movement. Many have found the pet-friendly rooms to be spotless and clean and some have described these rooms as very nice and pet-safe.
The hotel's pet policy includes a fee, generally $40 per night, which some guests felt was steep or not well disclosed upfront. Despite this, the overall sentiment about pet accommodations remains positive, as the policy allows for pets to stay with owners for a reasonable cost. Moreover, the staff has been praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, particularly in handling pets, ensuring a welcoming environment for dogs.
However, there are some drawbacks noted by guests.
