The Kings Arms is lauded for its picturesque and serene location in a charming village near the Westonbirt Arboretum, offering a prime spot for nature enthusiasts and those attending local events. With close proximity to Bath, Bristol and Longleat, it serves as a strategic base for regional tours. The historic building, attractive ambiance and friendly staff contribute to its appeal, making it a favorite for relaxing getaways and active explorations of the Cotswolds.
Breakfast at The Kings Arms receives high marks for its quality and taste, particularly the English breakfast options and sausages. Guests appreciate the well-prepared dishes and lovely staff, though some note the late service start and price as minor drawbacks. Dinner is equally praised for its extensive menu and superb food quality with highlights including delicious meals and Butcombe ale. Despite some feedback on limited vegetarian options, the dining experience is considered a standout feature.
Rooms are generally commended for their comfortable beds, ample space and charming decor that blends period features with modern touches. Guests note the cleanliness of the accommodations, though some suggest the need for renovation, especially in the bathrooms. The attentive and welcoming staff significantly enhance the overall experience, consistently praised for their exceptional service and helpfulness.

The luxurious extras, such as feather bedding and real coffee, add to an inviting, charming atmosphere. The pet-friendly policies are another highlight with guests noting the warm welcome for their dogs and special amenities like a doggie menu.
